d20 Modern
& Future
Our current d20
Modern & Future games use a variety of resources - including the d20
Modern Role Playing Game and its many supplements from Wizards of the
Coast, and many (likely all) resources available from RPGObjects and The
Game Mechanics.
And, of course, our liberal splattering of house rules.
Rio
Hevrir - The town of Rio Hevrir, deep in the California desert, has
had a long and turbulent history. From the town's birth in the early
1800s, it has thrived and died in cycles - every once in a while, the
place dies out almost completely. The only constant is Old Town...
remnants of the original township that refuse to rot, burn or otherwise be
destroyed...
Welcome to Rio Hevrir - June 2002. The town will be rolling up the
streets this summer; a strict curfew is in the works, as is the fencing
off of the Old Town site across the highway. Too bad the kids don't
like the idea. The town is boring - it is a place out in the middle
of no where... nothing ever happens there...
Or does it...

Clovis High Reunion - Clovis High rests in central California, in
an area known largely for its agriculture and its desperate attempts to
stay at the front of popular culture. Central California's labored
attempts to keep up with Los Angeles and San Francisco make it a perfect
place for strange things to happen in relative anonymity.
But some people do notice... some people
realize that there is more going on than just the "wild dogs"
and "strange disappearances" reported on the evening news.
So when the 11:00 News ran the third story in a row about the wild dog
attacks a few miles outside city limits, it was time for the kids who knew
to move into action.
After all, they'd killed werewolves before...
But this wasn't your everyday werewolf... and
Audrey & Patrick may be in for more than they bargained for...
Luckily, they've enlisted the help of a couple of friends who - whether
they like it or not - are now completley involved.

The other night I tripped a
nice continental drift divide. Mountains sit in a line.
Leonard Bernstein. Leonid Breshnev, Lenny Bruce and Lester Bangs.
Birthday party, cheesecake, jelly bean, boom! You symbiotic, patriotic,
slam, but neck, right? Right.
It’s the end of the world as we
know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine...fine..."
-- R.E.M. "It’s The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)"
It finally happened. The
world went to hell in the proverbial handbasket. Long envied for her
wealth, and prosperity, the U.S.A. is attacked by enemies, old and new,
looking to carve out their own piece of the 'Land of Plenty'.
Bio-Chemical agents dispersed in America's lakes and rivers lead to
an outbreak of plague causing people by the millions to grow sick, die,
and most frighteningly, to walk again with one goal ingrained into them...
spread the disease.
Many many people succumbed to the fatal disease. Many more were
killed when Washington DC, Seattle, Tacoma, Los Angeles, Cheyenne
Mountain, The Pentagon, and several other sites were nuked. Government has
collapsed, orders are no longer being handed down to the military.
Factions are formed, with many military platoons, and even entire
Batallions deserting, taking what supplies and weapons they can, and
quickly carving out a niche for themselves.
Now people must work together to survive quickly emerging rogue
military and militia units, roving bands of good ol' boys, the walking
dead, foreign military invaders (who are inadvertently carrying the plague
with them, back to their home countries), and something new, something
only now emerging, like any good pathogen, this one has mutated, and is
creating a new breed of human...
Who will survive? Who will prosper?
What beings came into our world following the Tunguska Blast, the
Manhattan Project, and the Philadelphia Experiment?
Do they hold the secret of the cure?
IS there a cure?
We shall see.
Futureshock (Rio
Hevrir) - J.J. and
Billy started The Academy together, but because of his knack for getting
into trouble, Billy didn't graduate until a few years later - in the
company of Josh, Liberty and Staci.
Reunited for the first time since Dawson
graduated, the tight-knit group of friends follows J.J.'s lead and starts
seeking (and finding) jobs aboard the freighters docked at Delosa Station.
(These characters are the same characters that
appear in Rio Hevrir, but have been re-constructed for use in d20 Future)
