no one wants to post in here so I will. Guild Wars is my MMORPG addiction of choice for several reasons. It has Realistic graphics, not cartoon looking. It has a level cap set at level 20, which you can reach in a very short timeframe (I've seen it done in a Weekend), or take Your time to reach if you choose. The fact that you are limited to 8 skills on your skillbar is a plus in my opinion, it makes you more selective as too what you want to carry at that time. As with any group based activity, the people you play with will make a difference in the fun you have with the game, but Guild wars is playable as a single player game. Every time you leave town you are in your own little instance so no kill stealing or waiting for bosses to reset. and THERE IS NO MONTHLY FEE, as some one I know said "I don't mind spending real world cash for in game extras, but I don't want to RENT the game."

This was is one of my biggest complaints with the MMORPG movement. (Well, that and their use of "RPG" - but that's a post for The Cage.) There are a lot of games that look like they could be fun, but the subscription fees are just plain stupid.

Guild Wars has a place in most of the Intrepid Heroes hearts though - because it really is fun. We play when we want, without having to worry about justifying the expense of a subscription. It's got a good story, but it lends itself well as a therapist for those nights when you just gotta hack-n-slash.

I lurrrve Guild Wars - the lack of monthly fees is a huge plus in my thinking. Granted, I'm primarily found on one of the dreaded "pay to play" MMOs, but Guild Wars is a game I can always go back to, always have fun, and like youse guys said, not worry about tossing money out the window.

Very cool stuffs.

Jaded plays Guild Wars?

If Jaded plays Guild Wars, I think we should recruit her into TOG where she can more easily game with us.

We'd be fighting 2nd tier Goa'Ulds, too... While we wouldn't have the glory of killing Amon Ra the ruler of a thousand worlds and terror of the System Lords, we WOULD get to fight his younger brother... Bubba Ray. Manager of the Ra-Mart, and terror of those who abuse the quarter fed riding Unas out front of the store.

I do! But... admittedly rarely. I, uh, *blushes furiously* am a bit of an EQ2 addict. I know! I KNOW! The game really isn't even that good, but it was my first and you know how girls are with their first... it's so hard to get over....
