As long as he's left alone for the night, Ratia won't object to Markus' salvaging the cyberware.

She will arrange with Captain Holger to conduct "burials at sea" once Markus is done.

Markus

The "implant" in the old man's head is unlike anything you've ever read about or seen. The gruesome task of harvesting the item involves cracking the dead man's skull. With the bone removed you're shocked to discover that guildsman's entire brain seems encased in a coppery metal. The implant fills the brain pan and has an oversized eye that projects in to where the left eye socket would be. Examination of the socket shows the bone somehow receeded from the implant. There is no trace of the massive surgery it would have taken to install. Nor can you imagine how an entire brain could be replaced in a living host.

Also of interest is that it seems to still have power. Normal implants power down on the death of the host. It isn't doing anything, but it isn't shut down either.

Ratia

Captain Holger nods a simple assent to your request for burials.

The captain has told you plenty of stories regarding the Demosids. You know what fate the woman faced prior to being frozen. It wasn't pretty. Perhaps it's better she's now at rest.

When you mention the Guildsman, he pauses.

"They had a Guildsman? I can no' believe it! The Guild would hunt down anyone that ever claimed to take one prisoner. They mus' not have knoown what they had."
