I have recently returned from the Renaissance Festival in Michigan. It is held near Ann Arbor in the SW portion of the state. It is by some measure the largest and best attended of any fantasy fair I have ever seen.
This year was no different, it cost me a bundle. In pervious years I have purchased a wizard's staff and a print edition by the artist Edward Beard (magic the gathering). This year I bought a hat and tunic. Cost? Over three hundred dollars. Fantasy is not cheep.
Work on the Loftlore story continues. I just finished Loftlore Epitome. It is a summery/synopsis/showcase of the three books. It's a crafty sort of thing, with leather, wood, faux jewels, dragon scales and the like. It's going to be hard to find in bookstores as I only made five copies. Friends and family sort of thing. Who knows? One day just owing a copy could get one a cottage in the Hamptons! Yeah, right.
Hope all is well with you folks here. Later.
