| Raised to rule their lands
by her father - an evil sort of man whose subjects feared his iron fist -
Tarralynne Dreamcatcher was known and feared for both her ruthlessness and
skill. She was the perfect one of his daughters to replace him... and when
she was foolish enough to show the weakness of compassion, her point of
view was quickly and clearly corrected. That was, at least, until her
father was killed. When his armor vanished from his body in the midst of a battle, Tarralynne - now the Baroness Dreamcatcher - went on the prowl... hunting the man she held responsible for her father's death. She found him to the south... in the city of Greyhawk; a young red-headed king with an unlikely band of followers. His explanation - which was, at first, too fantastical to believe - was that the armor had magically appeared before him... that he had no idea that it had vanished from her father's body... and especially not during the middle of a battle.
Einar Ragnarsson, whether he knew it at the time or not, had different plans for her future... Within a few hours time, he had found a way into the deepest corners of her mind... discovered the evils her father had taught her and the side of her that had made her life so dangerous. She was, in spite of her upbringing, truly compassionate and noble. Before he left her rooms that night, he had convinced her to change the ways of her family... to become the rulers she knew they should be... not to become what was expected of her. They returned, together, to her lands, where the sister who had assumed control in her absence presided over the court in much the same manner as their father. Prepared for the worst from the guard, they were met with a certain loyalty that surprised even Tarralynne. She stood by his side as he assumed power of the lands that had belonged to her family for a hundred generations. She stood by his side as his pet assassin killed her sister on the steps of the palace, before the citizens assembled in the courtyard. And she knelt before him, over her sister's dead body, and swore the allegiance of her family to his rule. All to the amazement of her squire, her servants, and her people; without hesitation or condition. The people moved, some more gratefully than others, into the lands surrounding the walled city of Einarsbjorg - which, in itself, is another story - rebuilding their lives under the rule of King Einar and their Baroness... a different woman than the one they had expected... One far more worthy of their admiration and loyalty. In what seemed like a short time to the denizens of Greyhawk, there came an announcement that King Einar and Baroness Dreamcatcher would wed. By now, of course, the aristocracy of Greyhawk has realized that time flows differently in Einarsbjorg... whether by chance or by choice, the magics of that place overpower the quickness of time outside the walls of the embassy that is known by most as their home. While she has become somewhat settled into the roles of wife and mother, she is still a warrior at heart. She is often seen in practice with the city guard or the armies that become a semi-constant fixture around the city, but she is seldom seen (not entirely by her choice) in the battles themselves.
