Hennet
Tansden was born aboard a ship out between rim worlds on a 'cargo run', to
a pilot for a father, and a mother who was a programmer for ship systems.
Hennet always had associates when they pulled into a docking bay at the
end of one cargo run, and the beginning of another. He got along quite
well with the other rapscallions on most of the worlds he visited, while
his parents either turned a blind eye, or simply paid no heed to his
antics, being more concerned with their own affairs. He was quite unsure
how he always managed to be onboard when his parents departed for the next
world, as they never seemed to notice where he was. Before even reaching his teens, Hennet was caught fighting with the sons of a district noble on a world nearer the core. Even though there were several witnesses to Hennet having been unduly attacked by the bullying sons of the unpopular noble, he was what amounted to a street rat, and they were the sons of a noble. Hennet spent the next 7 years in a juvenile detention colony, where he learned to craft pharmaceutical products before his 13th birthday, learned to fight to stay alive, and finally 2 years before he was released, he learned about honor at the tutelage of a God. He met his God in the guise of another young inmate, who happened to be put in the same cell. Upon his release, the deific youth disappeared, and no guard knew to whom Hennet referred when he asked about the other boy. Hennet sought a temple of the God who had taught him, and trained him in body, heart, and mind. After training at the temple for barely a year, the priests told him he was ready to go out, and do the work of their God. The head priest told him that most young Clerics had to spend 6 years or better before they were ready to go out. The priest told him that he believed his story, about Thor, that he had truly learned from the God himself, and he would do much more good out and about, than he would stuck in a temple. Hennet went out, healing the wounded, and giving aid where he could. Being a Cleric of Thor, however, he never shied from honorable battle, and could hold his own in a fight, as well as helping the wounded. He was finally able to sign on to a cargo ship, and has spent the last good while in the company of a crew of mercenaries. Hennet sees the current Emperor of the Dragon Empire, Mezzenbone the Red, as a vile and dishonorable monstrosity, and thus sees no particular reason to follow the laws as set by the Wyrm.
