Born the second of two children from the same mother he was the product of a one-night encounter with a mysterious stranger. The stranger was a dark drifter who came into the city where his mother was the daughter of the local Magistrate that wooed the elven noble in ways that she cannot recall. Ardis was born not long after and hidden from the family because of the strange circumstances of his birth. Ardis was taken to live with a nanny in the village not far from his mother's ever-watchful eye.      
     As he grew the truth of his fathers true heritage became apparent when the young elf began to show strange and disturbing traits. Wings began to grow from his shoulders and he began to sprout a tail both which seemed to become transparent in the light of the sun and seemed almost to appear out of nowhere when the sun when down. His mother also found that at a young age he had unusually strong and keen magical ability.
     The reason for all of this became apparent when the dark stranger came back to town looking for his son. When he was denied he then revealed his true nature and transformed into an ancient Shadow Dragon who was known in these parts as Dreldecar the dark and slaughtered the entire royal family.
     When discovering his families fate Ardis swore an oath that he would not rest until his murderous father paid for what he had done.
     Ardis then began is training to hone the skills both innate and non-that would give him the strength and power to fight this most vile of enemies. Trained in the arts of magic and martial weapons he will be a deadly foe to the thing that calls itself his father.
